Friends,
We urgently need to email U.S. Representatives Zoe Lofgren, Eric Swalwell, and Lou Correa. These California Democrats voted with Big Tech and against online platform accountability during the House Judiciary Committee hearing on anti-trust legislation designed to rein in the power and influence of companies like Facebook, Google and Amazon. We also need to email House Majority Steny Hoyer, who is refusing to bring the anti-trust bills to the House Floor for a vote.
Thanks for taking action with us!

To Rep. Zoe Lofgren, Rep. Eric Swalwell, Rep. Lou Correa and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer,
I am extremely disappointed that you are protecting the power of Big Tech companies like Facebook, Google and Amazon. I expected you to support reining in the excessive influence of these companies by supporting the legislation that went before the House Judiciary Committee on June 23rd. Instead, you seem content to let tech companies continue practices that harm consumers, workers, and our very democracy.
I refuse to accept the idea that Big Tech monopolies could buy the votes of our policymakers with their donations. But what other reason would there be for you turning against legislation that would allow consumers to more easily protect their privacy and switch from an online platform like Facebook to a competitor whose policies do not facilitated hatred and disinformation?
I urge you to listen to your constituents rather than to Big Tech lobbyists. As Chris Hughes, co-founder of Facebook, wrote in a New York Times op-ed entitled It’s Time to Break Up Facebook, there needs to be a check on these companies’ power. The American government needs to reign in Facebook and other Big Tech monopolies and make them more accountable to the American people.
Thank you for sending an email to Reps. Lofgren, Correa, Swalwell, and Hoyer. Your voice matters. Together, we can make a difference.
To make an even bigger impact, spread the word! Please share this action with your family and friends.
